    Knitting Jenny Pattern Collections 5 and 6: Fair Isle Inspired Tam o’ Shanters are now published!

    A Tam o’ Shanter is a hat of Scottish origin that features a colorful design with triangular segments that converge into a complex kaleidoscopic crown. 

    Tam o’ Shanter is an eponym. Tam o’ Shanter is the name of the titular character in the narrative poem, written in 1790, by Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759-1796). Tam is the Scottish sobriquet (or nickname) for Thomas. 

    I really enjoyed the process of designing these Tam o’ Shanters, then working with test knitters, and tech editors. 

    I hope you enjoy the Tam o’ Shanter designs as much as I enjoyed creating them.
